HTC Desire 816G – a refreshed version gets launched
HTC has now launched a revised version of its previous android powered smartphone dubbed HTC Desire 816G in India. The new version of Desire 816G is replacing the previous MediaTek MT6582 chipset with quad core processor clocked at speed of 1.3 GHz with an octa core processor clocked at speed of 1.7 GHz.
The previous version of HTC Desire 816G was launched for a price of INR 18,990 rupees but this new version comes with slightly extra costing INR 19,990 rupees.
Except for processor and price all the other remaining specifications remain the same for those two variants. Although HTC was unclear about the Android version of the new HTC Desire 816G model. Since the first generation of Desire 816G ran on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, so we expect the second generation of this device will run on at least Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box with HTC’s Sense user interface on top of it.
HTC Desire 816G second generation model will feature a 5.5 inch high definition display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. This new smartphone will have 1 GB of main memory (RAM) along with 16 GB of internal storage space which can be later expanded via external micro SD card up to 32 GB of storage space.
The camera specifications of HTC Desire 816G includes a 13 MP camera on its back along with LED flash light and BSI sensor. The front camera sports a 5 MP lens. The other sensors includes Accelerometer, digital compass, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.
The connectivity options of HTC Desire 816G includes pretty basic standards like WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, micro USB, FM radio, 3G. It supports nano SIM cards.
HTC Desire 816G physically measures 156.6 x 78.7 x 7.9 millimeters and weighs about 158 grams. This new smartphone is backed up with a 2,600 mAh battery.
HTC says that the second generation of HTC Desire 816G will come with dual front speakers with Boom Sound along with BlinkFeed home page features.
