Yu is all set to launch its premium smartphone dubbed as Yu Yutopia. This smartphone was teased by the firm by displaying a metal picture with a text saying ” The real power lies inside metal”. This is the firm’s first ever smartphone to feature quad high definition display. On Wednesday, company via its official Facebook account took a dig at OnePlus 2 by saying Calling 1080 pixels a flagship killer? Why Settle for 1080p #Yu Yutopia.

The company also said Yu Yutopia will be sporting a metal body instead of plastic or sandstone since their previous smartphone sported plastic and sandstone cases. On their Facebook account they also portrayed a picture of OnePlus 2  in the screen saying Never Settle For 1080p indicating the fact that One Plus 2 is featuring 1080 pixels and Yu Yutopia comes with qHD display.

Rahul Sharma, Founder of the firm mentioned in his tweet that Yu Yutopia is a premium and most powerful smartphone on the planet and will be available in India by 2016. Since it is a premium smartphone supporting Dual SIM, its price may be a bit higher than previous releases from Yu.

Regarding the specifications Yu Yutopia features a 5.2 inch quad high definition display with screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels with pixel density of 564.85 pixels per inch. It is made up of Aircraft Grade Metallic uni body and under the hood Yu Yutopia is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 chipset with octa core processor.

Yu Yutopia comes with 4 GB of main memory (RAM) and 32 GB of inbuilt memory space which can be later expanded with the help of an external micro SD card. The camera specs include a 21 MP primary camera which captures images at 5248 x 3936 pixels along with Dual Tone LED flash light. Yu Yutopia also sports an 8 MP front camera.

Yu Yutopia will run on Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop with custom user interface on top of it and connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth, 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, micro USB, GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, FM radio.
