During GDC 2015 Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan X gets revealed

During the brief session of Epic Games Unreal Engine at GDC 2015 (Game Developers Conference). Jen Hsun, CEO of Nvidia was invited as a special guest to announce Nvidia’s new upcoming high end gaming graphics card dubbed Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan X.

After announcing Shield TV consoles powered Android, Jen Hsun said Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan X features a 12 GB of VRAM (Video Random Access Memory) which is made of eight billion transistors. This new graphics card – Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan X is based on the architecture of Maxwell which the firm previously used for their famous Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 graphics card.

Nvidia prefers Maxwell’s architecture since it provides more efficiency when it comes to power saving and also improves the performance. Since Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan X carries eight billion transistors which is similar to first GeForce GTX Titan and Titan Black.

Both of the above mentioned graphics cards sported 7.1 billion transistors each. Unfortunately Nvidia was vey coy about revealing the specs of their new upcoming high end graphics card named Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan X. But fortunately in a couple of weeks, we can expect more details about this video card during the firm’s GPU Technology Conference.
