Oppo launches a new R series smartphone named Oppo R7
On Thursday, Oppo launched their new R series smartphone dubbed as Oppo R7 during an event that took place at Beijing, China. This new Oppo R7 carries a price tag of CNY 2,499 which is approximately INR 25,700 rupees. As far as now, this smartphone is only made available for Chinese market. The global availability of this device is not yet revealed but it has been listed on firm’s website. Oppo R7 will become available for pre ordering from mid June, 2015 via JD.com and Oppostyle eCommerce sites.
As far as design is concerned, Oppo R7 sports a metallic body with chamfered side panels. It carries a 2.5 dimensional glass covering the front panel and the back has violin arc like design. It also carries the three standard capacitive touch keys which are home, back and menu keys.
Oppo R7 will run on Android 4.4 KitKat based Color OS v2.1. It features a 5 inch full high definition AMOLED display. The internal storage space for R7 will be 16 GB which can be expanded up to 128 GB of memory space with the help of an external microSD card. This smartphone is packed with a 2,320 mAh Lithium Polymer battery.
Oppo R7 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 chipset with octa core processor based on 64 bit architecture. It is coupled with a 3 GB of main memory (RAM). The graphics is powered by Adreno 305 GPU chip. Regarding the camera specifications, Oppo R7 sports a 13 MP f/ 2.2 lens on its back and an 8 MP front snapper gets on board as well. Oppo claims that Oppo R7 uses Pure Image 2.0+ technology which has the ability to create Ultra high resolution images.
The physical measurements of Oppo R7 includes 143 x 71 x 6.3 millimeters and weighs about 147 grams. It is equipped with VOOC flash charge technology which has the ability to provide two hours of talk time with just five minutes of charging and charges the handset to 75 percent in just half an hour.
