Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung S Edge to be out by March 1st, 2015
Samsung has now sent an invites for Galaxy Unpacked event on 1st March, 2015 during MWC. The pre Mobile World Congress event is about to witness two new devices from Samsung namely Samsung S Edge and Samsung Galaxy S6. Galaxy S6 is the next flagship smartphone for the year 2015.
The invite gives a small hint that there might be a presence of curved display smartphone, with the reference to the drawn line with top right profile like in Samsung Galaxy Note Edge with its curved display. Of course there were lot of rumors floating around the internet about the new flagship Samsung galaxy S6 but we are not sure about the curved display feature.
Anyway by 1st of March, 2105 the mystery will be clear whether Samsung has decided not to use Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset for powering Samsung Galaxy S6 (previously there were rumors about Samsung ditching Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 chipset due to heating issues).
But Qualcomm and LG stated that there were no heating issues while using Snapdragon 810 chip. So i think Samsung will be featuring its own Exynos 7420 chipset instead of Snapdragon 810 SoC and offer octa core processor based on 14 nm coupled along with 3 GB of main memory (RAM).
As per recent reports Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to come with metal clad smartphone by the way which won’t be water or dust resistant. S6 might feature a 5 or 5.1 inch quad high definition Super AMOLED display.
Samsung Galaxy S6 sports a 20 MP or 16 MP rear camera with OIS. There will be three different variants which comes with 32 GB / 64 GB / 128 GB of internal storage space. This smartphone will become the first smartphone to support (as yet to be officially announced) Samsung Pay NFC mobile based payment system just like Apple Pay.
