Xiaomi Redmi 2 expected to be out by Thrusday for Indian market
Xiaomi India has tipped us on its official website about the launch of much expected Xiaomi Redmi 2 on 12th of March, 2105. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer teased the news through popular social media websites like Twitter and Facebook. So we guess this new upcoming smartphone is expected to be out by 12th March, 2015.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 is more likely to launch this week since its online exclusive partner Flipkart is no longer selling Xiaomi Redmi 1S and also the firm is selling Xiaomi Mi 4 16 GB version and Mi 4 64 GB version, Redmi Note 4G in India. So there is more chance that the release of Xiaomi Redmi 2 will take the spot of Xiaomi Redmi 1S.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 was first launched in China during the month of January for a price tag of CNY 699 that is approximately INR 7,100 rupees but then the availability details for outside China remained untold, but Xiaomi said this smartphone will be available in India soon.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 features a 4.7 inch high definition IPS display with screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and has pixel density of 312 pixels per inch. This is a Dual SIM smartphone which runs on Andorid 4.4 KitKat out of the box with Xiaomi’s MIUI 6 user interface on top of it.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 chipset with Cortex A 53 which is based on 64 bit architecture clocked at speed of 1.2 GHz. This yet to be launched smartphone is coupled with 2 GB of main memory (RAM).
The internal storage sapce of Xiaomi Redmi 2 is 8 GB of memory which can be later expanded up to 32 GB of storage space via an external micro SD card. This device is packed with 2200 mAh battery. Xiaomi later upgraded the specifications of Xiaomi Redmi 2 by increasing the storage space from 8 GB to 16 GB of internal memory space.
