Xiaomi Redmi 2 with 4G LTE support released
Xiaomi has finally launched its much awaited smartphone which is the successor of the famous Xiaomi Redmi 1 named as Xiaomi Redmi 2. This latest smartphone is a new entry level android gadget which is expected to go on sale for Chinese market on 9th January, 2015. The new smartphone is priced at CNY 699 which is approximately Rs. 7,100.
As of now the availability of Xiaomi Redmi 2 for rest of the market is not announced but it is expected to be available in India and Indonesia soon. This latest smartphone from Xiaomi features a 4.7 inch IPS high definition display with resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels with pixel density of 312 pixels per inch which is same as its predecessor.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 supports dual SIM facility and will run on Android 4.4 KitKat with Xiaomi’s MIUI user interface on top of it. This new device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 chipset with 64 bit based architecture at the clock speed of 1.2 GHz. The GPU is powered by Adreno 306 chipset. It is coupled with a gig of physical memory (RAM) and sports an 8 MP camera on its back and 2 MP camera on its front which is considered to be slightly high compared to Xiaomi Redmi 1 which had 1.6 MP on its front.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 comes with 8 GB of internal storage space which can be later expanded up to 32 GB through external microSD card. This entry level smartphone supports the basic connectivity standards like Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and supports 4G LTE connectivity.
Pink, White, Yellow, Black and Green are the different flavors of Xiaomi Redmi 2 and is packed with 2200 mAh battery and physically weighs 133 grams and is 0.5 millimeter thinner than Xiaomi Redmi 1.
