Moto G Turbo – a mid range smartphone gets unveiled
Recently Motorola has officially revealed their new variant of Moto G smartphone dubbed as Moto G Turbo Edition during an event in Mexico. Moto G Turbo’s specifications and pricing has been unveiled and this is the first time the name Turbo is used for a mid range smartphone (till now Turbo was used only for Droid series of smartphones).
Moto G Turbo is a mid range smartphone which carries a price tag of $283 which is approximately INR 18, 600 rupees and is said to be available from 13th November, 2015. But unfortunately the availability details are not yet officially revealed. Looking at the specifications of Moto G Turbo, it is clear that most of the specifications except battery and camera is upgraded.
Coming to specifications, Moto G Turbo is a dual SIM smartphone will run on latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box with Motorola’s user interface on top of it. This new edition features a 5 inch full high definition display with screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection.
Under the hood Moto G Turbo is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 chipset with octa core processor built on 64 bit architecture and is coupled with 2 GB of LPDDR3 main memory (RAM). The graphics of the smartphone is powered by Adreno 405 chipset. The camera specifications include 13 MP primary camera with f/ 2.0 aperture and a 5 MP front snapper with f/ 2.2 aperture gets on board.
Moto G Turbo packs 16 GB of internal storage space which can be further extended with the help of an external microSD card. Regarding the connectivity options Moto G Turbo supports 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, FM radio, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, micro USB.
Moto G Turbo is IP67 certified which means that this new Moto G edition is water resistant upto 3 feet for 30 minutes. Moto G Turbo is backed up by a 2470 mAh battery and it also provides support for Motorola’s Turbo Power quick charging.
